When you were a child, did you love being creative?
Whether you were writing stories for your teddy, creating glorious sticky collages, drawing rainbow-coloured patterns with glowing felt-tips, sewing tiny outfits for your dolls, or corralling siblings, cousins or friends into performing in impromptu plays or dance shows — you knew without having to think about it, that your creativity was a vital and joyous part of who you were.
But now you’re all grown up.
Somehow, it’s so easy for things to get in the way of you connecting with your deepest creative self.
Life has happened, and things feel different now. You’ve been having to deal with pressures you couldn’t have imagined back then.
Stress from a high-pressure job, raising a family, challenges such as anxiety or depression, ill-health, bereavement or trauma; any of these can have a profound effect.
And now maybe you’re beginning to wonder if it’s even possible to feel whole, and creative, and deeply in touch with you.
I’m Emma Cameron, and my aim is to help you connect with your deepest creative self.
So you can feel whole, and centred, and in touch with your imagination and your creative energy once more.
Here at emmacameron.com you’ll find articles and information designed to help you, as a soul-centred and thoughtful woman, to access your creativity and deepen your connection with yourself.
If you’re already working with a psychotherapist, Art Psychotherapist or counsellor (or are considering doing so), I’ve written some articles that aim to help you get the most out of your therapy journey. I’ll even send you (for free) my e-book ‘How to Get the Most from your Therapy or Counselling’ — in the comments section here, just let me know you’d like a copy and I’ll email one through to you.
And if you’re a therapist yourself, check out my thoughts on creative self-care for therapists, and find out why I advise you to let out your ‘roar’ once in a while!
