Sometimes feelings can be quite overwhelming.
Other times, a feeling can seem very subtle but can still have a lingering effect on your day.
How can we manage feelings more mindfully and successfully?
Well – by not trying to control them, but instead learning to accept and tolerate them, knowing that they will pass.
Paradoxically, it’s often when a feeling is accepted and fully felt, that it can then change and transform or pass away.

I hope this helps you with managing your feelings better.
And remember: managing a difficult feeling can be a whole lot easier when there is someone with you who can be empathic and understanding. This could be a friend or loved one. (Tip: Just make sure you don’t try to seek help from someone who shames you for having feelings, as shaming can make things a whole lot worse).
And if managing feelings is really becoming a bigger problem for you, it could be well worth finding a therapist or counsellor to talk things through with.
Although therapy can be expensive, it can be a fantastic investment, helping you shift tracks and find new ways of managing your feelings and issues.
